I now know what it is like to walk to school when it is -22 degrees. Truth be told it’s not much different than walking to school when it is -15. Go figure.

Two weeks into the semester and we already had our first final. Obstetrics was a quick hit and run course - eight hours of lecture and a final exam. The term “obstetrics” is a bit decieving in that it really should have been “large animal obstetrics.” Apparently small animal obstetrics are taught in the third year.

A couple of days before Christmas, grades were posted and I was pleased to see that I am still a member in good standing of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. With the way some of the tests went this semester, my future seemed “iffy” at times. Of course, I blame the instructors who wrote the tests – there’s no way we students are possibly that stupid, is there??!
